Welcome to Men's Section of the St. Idloes Golf Club.
Sunday Mornings 9.00 AM
The men's competitions are generally played on Sunday Morning through out the year, with a drawn Shotgun Start. This enables golfers to mix and play with different opponents and also finish at the same time allowing results to announced before you head off to Sunday Lunch.
Wednesday Evening 6.00 PM (April to September)
During the Summer from April through to September on a Wednesday evening the Mid Wales Shooting Centre Challenge is contested by many of the gentlemen members. Consisting of up to 22 rounds of golf (generally nine holes) with competitions varying from 3 clubs and a putter, alternate tee stablefords, to 9 hole stableford qualifiers. Points are awarded for each competition which goes towards the players total for the season and the chance to be crowned champion. The Final event of the year usually coincides with Hackers Day Out at an alternative location. Wednesday nights are intended as a relaxing and social golf, and often end up with members enjoying Pizza's in the club house or enjoying the offerings of the local Indian restaurants.
