Hole 5 – Penrhallt

With the Penrhallt wood behind you and on your left you are faced with a blind tee shot into a basin the slopes right to left.

The ideal shot is a lay up to a plateau that runs through the fairway, leaving a short to mid-iron into a back to front sloping green. Danger waits for long hitters who can run into the undergrowth on the left, or row of tall pines on the right, driver might not be the best option for the longer hitters. Judging distance on the second shot is key to a good score on this hole, although once aboard the green your problems could have just begun. A subtle ridge runs down the already sloping back to front and right to left green. Play this hole wrong and it could be a card wrecker.
